Presented by MENTORS FOR SELF DETERMINATION: This session is led by Partnership trainers.

Planning for Life After High School

Are you and your child prepared for the day the school bus stops coming? What happens after graduation?

Planning now will ease the transition from high school to adulthood.

In this training, learn:

  • to design a successful transition plan
  • to consider all aspects of life
  • to connect the IEP and ISP through Person-Centered Planning
  • about agencies involved in transition planning
  • about funding resources and supports other than the ID System

Host: Employment 1st...advocating employment services for folks with intellectual disabilities in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties.

When registering, ask about: ACCOMMODATIONS, ALTERNATE FORMATS (request 2-3 weeks before session), REIMBURSEMENT (mileage, tolls, parking and childcare expenses may be covered), and/or CREDITS (Act 48 - $10 processing fee).
